Graffiti Busters was employed by Philiam Construction to complete the restoration works of Avonmore Youth Centre in Kensington.

We were required to apply a permanent pigmented anti-graffiti coating to the external metal cladding roof and a clear sacrificial coating to all brickwork elevations.

Before the application of the coatings we made use of specialist hot pressure washing equipment and bio-chemicals to remove the existing graffiti, dirt and grime.

This provided us with clean substrates to ensure the coating could be applied in the correct manner and adhere to the treated surface. Our anti-graffiti coating was applied to brickwork surfaces by making use of low manual hand pump sprayers.

GB 100 SC will provide the client with a minimum protection of 5 years. All future graffiti attacks can then be removed by making use of hot pressure washing equipment. A specialist coloured permanent coating was applied to the metal cladding rooftop by  airless spray equipment.

This was done in three stages:

  • Tack Primer, applied to seal the surface and provide adhesion;
  • Undercoat, the first stage of the colour coating;
  • High Solids Finish, permanent pigmented top coat.
