This magnificent stone sculpture was treated with a specialist anti-graffiti coating to protect against water, oil, dirt, pollution and graffiti.

The monument is a fitting tribute to all the animals that served in the wars and conflicts of the 20th century.

Their sacrifice is testament to the trustees of The Animals in War Memorial Fund who obtained planning consent from Westminster Council to erect the memorial at a cost of £2 million.
